Flutter into Spring with a paper-engineered card. Kids will make this butterfly pop-up unique by using sharpies and colored pencils, and give it a nice floral background.

Pop Art Portraits
Bring a contemporary feel to a retro comic book style! Young artists will use in along with colored pencils and acrylic paint to give life to a new Manga-inspired character!
Underwater Watercolors
Using a wax crayon to outline the design, young artists will paint an underwater scene using a wet-in-wet blending technique in watercolor. Then we'll use a little salt and splatter to give our creation some texture. Creative fun!
Two-View Tree
Design an accordion-fold picture known as an agamograph. Attendees will draw and color a tree in two different seasons, cut and paste it into the folds, and watch the picture magically change as you walk from side to side!

Ink & Watercolor Pollinators
Bees, bats, butterflies or hummingbirds! Pick a pollinator and create art that is half grey-tones, and half in full color!
Scratchboard Animals
Circles, squiggles, lines and crosshatching. Design an animal in its environment by scratching a variety of textures into an inked surface.
Ocean Life Pastels
Young artists will be invited to render their favorite sea creature in oil pastels. Add a simple or complex background and discover your deep-sea creature in all its glory!
Pop-Up Shark
Investigate the fine art of cutting and folding shapes into 3-dimensions in this pop-up card. We'll finish it off by creating a background scene using markers and colored pencils.
Fantasy Houses
Young artists will explore architectural design with fantasy and surreal elements. Markers and colored pencils along with a bit of imagination will complete the vision. Create your dream house!
3-color Pet Print
Bring in a photocopy picture of a pet, or use one of ours to make a unique portrait using a print technique of various colors.
Layer Cake Design
Just like the foodie show competitions on TV, we'll design a layer cake in oil pastels that could win Best Design, Funniest Cake, Best Color and Too Neat To Eat awards! Learn about perspective in geometric shapes and add a matching background for a sweet piece of art!

Arctic Animals
Choose an arctic animal from supplied photos and create a collaged design using a variety of papers, both colored and patterned. Continue the look by creating a simple patterned background in colored pencil that suggests an icy environment.
Wildlife Birds
Using a limited palette of acrylic paint colors, young artists will create a wildlife bird of their choosing on a dark background. Discover how many mixed colors you can make from 3 choices and paint away!
Jungle Cats Collage
Cut out a lion, tiger, or leopard face and paint it with bright colors. Then make your own patterned stamp pads that will be inked and pressed onto the art. Finish with cut-leaf shapes to create a jungle!

Embossed Aluminum Design
Take abstract shapes a notch higher by embossing designs on aluminum sheets. We'll use an inking technique to tint it, then extent that design to the border with colored pencils. Get ready to be amazed!

Young artists will learn of Victor Vasarely, known as the founder of optical art. We'll learn how to alter line and shading in order to fool the eye, and create a 3-D illusion on flat paper!
